Butterflies and flowers are kinda my thing. No really they totally are so this Diva Dare is right up my alley. The beauty is you can enter as many times as you’d like so here’s my second entry:
For this card I used the following items:Card base (here I used DCWV) Scrap paper Paper for mat behind background paper (DCWV) Background paper (from Lady Couture Stack by DCWV) Ribbon (dollar store or WalMart I forget) Stamps (Verve Words of Wisdom) Flowers (Wild Orchid Crafts) Brads (also from Wild Orchid Crafts) Spellbinders Butterfly Circles and whatever coordinating circle it is that goes with it Ink (Versafine as usual) Magenta Stickles (I got mine from Oh My Crafts forever ago) Foam dots (Scrapbookpal.com) Adhesive (ATG) Glue (Scotch fast drying glue or something like that and glue gun) Hideously Ugly Bow Board
Plug your glue gun in if it’s not hot already. Create your standard A2 card base then cut a patterned contrasting/complementary piece of paper at 4 and 1/8 by 5 and 3/8. Next cut your background paper to 4 x 5.25. Using the hideously ugly bow board, tie a great bow like mine then adhere to background paper. Apply patterned background paper to color mat and then adhere this piece to card base. Cut both the butterfly and regular circles out of your scrap, stamp sentiment on solid circle, adhere to butterfly circle and set aside. Clean out your butterfly circles die holding onto a couple of the butterflies it cut when making basic doily shape and glue to circle with sentiment however you see fit. Add stickles if desired and set aside. Place brads in middle of flowers, adhere butterfly circle to card base using foam dots and hot glue flowers to edge being careful to avoid gluing the butterfly circle to the card base as well. That’s it…pretty easy don’t ya think?
